About the Artist
Wendy is a landscape and wildlife artist from Norfolk.
Her paintings are inspired by her love of the natural world, exploring how nature adapts in our modern world and our relationship with it.
She has won awards for her landscapes, exhibited with the Royal society of British Artists, appeared on Landscape artist of the year as a wildcard and has a painting included in the Late HM Queen Elizabeth II private art collection
She was also named in the Queens Platinum Jubilee Honors list in 2022 for the 70 plus portraits of NHS workers she created during the Pandemic whilst she also worked in the community as a nurse.
The artist says...
'All life is precious to me, even before I had cancer I was aware of this especially having a young family, but being confronted with my own mortality in 1998 certainly helped me focus on what is important. When I recovered, everything changed. I retrained as a nurse, rediscovered my love of drawing and learnt to paint. My work is varied and draws on my own personal experiences and observations of the world around me and where and how we fit in it.
